The Realm

The Realm was the first game I ever beta tested and the first to call itself an MMO. The Realm was a fairly standard fantasy game where the world was viewed from a side perspective. I had played other King's Quest and other Sierra Adventure games before and The Realm had that same distinctive visual style .

The Realm was the first game I am aware of to include player housing. In fact, if I remember correctly, every character had a house right from the very beginning.

Despite being in the beta and playing for a limited time I never learned much about the game. In was an amusing time waster but nothing that would hold my attention for very long.
